The Head of Food & Beverage (F&B) and Culinary Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service, menu development, and kitchen operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in F&B operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in integrated resort, luxury hotels, fine dining, resorts, cruise lines, or large-scale food service operations.
- Proven track record in menu development, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of global cuisines, culinary trends, and F&B innovations
- Ability to analyze P&L statements, food costs, and labor costs.
- Understanding of pricing strategies and profit maximization.
- Deep understanding of guest expectations, food presentation, and service standards.
- Ability to develop and enforce high-quality dining experiences.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
- Strong expertise in kitchen layout planning, workflow optimization, and equipment selection.
Job Description
- Creating, communicating, and implementing the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction within the F&B Division
- Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other executive leaders including assistant vice presidents, directors, and managers.
- Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the F&B Division within their area of responsibility.
- Achieving the organization’s overall strategic goals and profitability requirements as determined by the strategic plans of the company
- Forming, staffing, guiding, leading, and managing a team that will accomplish and exceed the senior/executive vice president’s responsibilities and job requirements.
- Overseeing the complete operation of the F&B division in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans.
- Evaluating the performance and success of each outlet within the division
- Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, and so forth.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the president or the CEO.
- Ensuring that overall quality and integrity of the Food & Beverage quality guidelines are upheld throughout the division.
- Ensuring that food health, safety and sanitation standards are implemented throughout the culinary and food & beverage division.
- Other functions as may be assigned relevant to pre-opening set-up.
